Ultra Bob 626

Ultra BOB 626 is the second RAAM qualifier and UMCA event, in November 2011.

The route, which weaves through Nilgiris and Bandipur forest, takes you through plains, villages, and dusty towns before a challenging climb that takes your breath away both literally and figuratively. Bangalore Ooty highway is dotted with village and towns that remind one of sleepy hallows that never meander beyond the limits of comfort. Yet they offer a glimpse of rush and hustle of commerce, unlike the vision of sleepy towns, from time to time. Beyond these is a picturesque road that takes you into the beautiful Bandipur forest and then on to the hilly climbs of Ooty. There is no shortage of challenge or excitement on this ride, with time and support stations providing relief as needed.

Bhati Lakes 100

With a focus on runners who can’t travel long distances for a race, a beautiful lake area close enough to Delhi with a fairly gradient trail was chosen for this.

The Bhati lakes are old abandoned Bhati mines which turned to lakes over a period of time. The area offers a 20 mile loop with a 6 km tarmac to loop back in to the trail area.
